AT THE RACK
Install or replace rack servers, firewalls, switches, routers, storage appliances and rack accessories. Fit rails, position equipment and connect power to your agreed rack plan.
Swap customer-supplied drives, memory, NICs/HBAs, power supplies and other approved components. Check asset details and document the work.
Run, patch, trace, label and tidy copper and fiber connections within your authorized space. Confirm port assignments with your team.
Connect a console or assist with IPMI/BMC, iDRAC or iLO access so your remote engineer can troubleshoot boot and hardware issues. Carry out reboots or power cycles only with explicit approval for the affected equipment.
Inspect equipment, LEDs, link/activity indicators, cabling and physical conditions. Share findings and photographs where permitted, and work through agreed diagnostic steps with your team.
Support equipment moves, de-racking, reinstallation and complete rack deployments. Follow an agreed sequence for cabling, cutover, checks and handover.
PLAN YOUR VISIT
Start with the location, then confirm the operator, equipment space and authorized task list.

PLAN THE WORK

Physical server and network troubleshooting, console assistance and approved hardware replacement in Los Angeles data centers. Work from an agreed diagnostic plan.
Customer-authorized fiber and copper patching, cable tracing and labeling in Los Angeles racks and cages. Coordinate port maps and facility boundaries before work.
Customer-authorized de-racking, reinstallation and physical migration assistance in Los Angeles. Plan the cutover, access, cabling and rollback with your engineers.
WORKING WITH YOUR ENGINEER
A host repair affects the workloads around it. For example, replacing a NIC in an ESXi host may require workload evacuation or shutdown before the hardware work, followed by checks of the host's network and storage links. We coordinate that sequence with your administrator; the virtualization support page covers the wider engineering work.
For a firewall or network appliance, we can rack and cable the replacement, connect console access and patch the approved interfaces while your engineer directs the change. Configuration and migration planning are scoped separately.
A drive swap starts with positive component identification and agreed checks. Your engineer confirms the storage and recovery plan before replacement. OS, firmware, storage and network changes require explicit customer authorization.
LOCAL PRESENCE
We support customers with equipment in LA-area data centers, colocation facilities and private server rooms across Greater Los Angeles, the Westside and the San Fernando Valley.
From Downtown Los Angeles to the Westside, including Santa Monica, Culver City and Beverly Hills, we coordinate visits around the equipment location. For Pasadena or another location, send the address so we can check scheduling. We also cover Burbank and Glendale, and Valley locations such as North Hollywood, Van Nuys, Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, Calabasas and San Fernando. Share the actual facility or server-room address so we can confirm the visit.
Tell us the facility location, access requirements and preferred time. Visits depend on customer-authorized access, facility approval and an agreed schedule. FOO.XYZ is an independent service provider; service coverage does not imply an affiliation with any facility.
Maintenance windows and any after-hours work are arranged in advance, subject to availability. We confirm timing and scope before a visit. For urgent or on-demand infrastructure assistance, call (213) 212-8317 to check availability; a request is not a confirmed dispatch.
CUSTOMER-AUTHORIZED SITE VISITS
Need a local set of hands at One Wilshire or another Los Angeles data center? FOO.XYZ can work with your remote engineering team on rack, server, network, cabling, storage and troubleshooting tasks at data centers and carrier hotels, subject to customer authorization and each site's access procedures.
Before requesting a visit, confirm the operator, building, suite or cage and receiving process. Several operators share Downtown buildings: a street address alone does not establish access. For carrier work, obtain the operator’s order reference and approved demarcation; facility cross-connect provisioning remains with the authorized operator.
This is a starting point, not an exhaustive list. We can also consider customer-authorized work at other facilities and private server rooms throughout Greater Los Angeles, including the Westside and San Fernando Valley. Send the operator, full address, task list and proposed window so we can confirm scope and availability.
Facility access depends on customer authorization, site rules, scheduling, and security procedures. FOO.XYZ is an independent Remote Hands provider and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the facilities listed above.
HOW A VISIT WORKS
Share the location, rack and equipment details, task list, required parts and preferred window. We agree on deliverables, timing and cost.
You arrange facility authorization and an available technical contact. We confirm the instructions, affected systems and any rollback or stop conditions before starting.
We carry out the agreed tasks, coordinate checks with your team and report the outcome. Anything outside the scope comes back to you for approval.
BEFORE A SITE VISIT
Call (213) 212-8317 with the affected facility, symptoms and business impact. We confirm availability and access before accepting urgent work. There is no guaranteed response time or automatic dispatch; use your facility operator’s escalation process for power, cooling or building access emergencies.
We can scope a visit when you arrange authorization for your equipment and the operator permits the work. Confirm the facility, suite or cage, permitted tasks and access requirements with us before booking. A facility listing does not mean we have standing access or operator approval.
Yes. We can arrange rack and stack, server installation, hardware replacement and cabling work in El Segundo, as well as visits in Burbank, the San Fernando Valley and the wider Los Angeles metro. Each visit depends on its scope, location, access and scheduling.
Yes. Agree on a runbook and an available technical contact before the visit. We can connect console or IPMI/BMC access, trace and patch switch ports, inspect status LEDs, and verify power and network connections while your engineer directs troubleshooting. Reboots and changes outside the agreed scope require explicit approval.
We can scope installation and checks for customer-supplied servers, storage and network appliances. Coordinate delivery and receiving with the facility first, then confirm the rack plan, rails, cables, power requirements and any handling or escort requirements with us. Do not ship equipment until those arrangements are confirmed.
Send the equipment models, fault or task, and the instructions from your administrator. We scope the physical work around the affected system and available recovery options. The platform reference covers the broader environments we work with; a site visit does not authorize changes beyond the agreed task.
The customer must authorize access to the affected equipment and arrange the facility's visitor or work authorization. Confirm identity checks, escort requirements, permitted tools, receiving rules and the maintenance window with the operator. We confirm instructions and stop conditions before work begins; admission is controlled by the facility.
Send the facility location, task list and preferred window. Please keep passwords and access credentials out of your inquiry.
