The approach can be a focused repair or a planned production change, depending on the systems and business impact.

Linux & FreeBSD systems

System work can cover boot and service failures, resource pressure, permissions, updates and repeatable administration. We check the installed release, running services and recovery options before changing a production host.

For container hosts and jails, troubleshooting includes the host, resource limits, persistent data and network access. An application failure and a host failure need different investigations. Shared storage and recovery planning are covered separately when they affect the system.

VMware & virtualization support

FOO.XYZ supports VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter, alongside Proxmox VE. Work can cover host installation or replacement, troubleshooting, datastore and storage-path connectivity, and virtual networking or VLAN issues. We check the affected workloads, hardware compatibility and available recovery options before changing a host.

For failed hardware, we can coordinate NIC/HBA replacement, server swaps, cabling and storage connections with your administrator. Work that takes a host offline is planned around workload evacuation or shutdown, maintenance mode where applicable, and explicit approval. Data center Remote Hands can provide the physical work while your administrator directs it.

VMware to Proxmox migration planning

A migration starts with the workloads and their dependencies: guest operating systems, virtual disks, drivers, storage, networking and backup/recovery tools. We assess the destination, test representative guests, verify backups and agree on a cutover window and rollback plan. Compatibility and application checks determine the approach.

Multi-tenant & hybrid infrastructure

FOO.XYZ designs and supports infrastructure spanning on-premises systems, colocation, private virtualization and cloud services. Workloads should run where they make operational and economic sense.

Shared infrastructure needs explicit boundaries: workload isolation, tenant separation, storage access and administrative permissions. Network segmentation and site-to-site connectivity connect environments while controlling access between them. We plan routing and VPN dependencies, workload moves, and monitoring, backup and recovery across environments together, including what happens when a link or location is unavailable.
