Office networks through data center infrastructure
Based in Los Angeles, FOO.XYZ helps businesses and technical teams troubleshoot connectivity, plan network changes, and improve infrastructure reliability. Engagements can focus on one office, a data center environment, or connectivity between locations.
Connectivity & change planning
- Routing and switching reviews, VLAN design, and network segmentation.
- Firewall and VPN configuration reviews and agreed access-control changes.
- Capacity, redundancy, and connectivity planning.
- Migration plans, configuration documentation, and remote coordination with on-site staff.
Firewall installation, replacement & migration
FOO.XYZ helps Los Angeles businesses install, replace, troubleshoot and upgrade firewalls, from an office gateway to data center appliances. A replacement starts with the current interfaces, routing, NAT, VPNs and access rules, so the intended traffic flows survive the move. We agree on a configuration backup, maintenance window, connectivity checks and rollback steps before cutover.
A migration between OPNsense, pfSense or other appliance platforms needs a review of rule behavior, interface assignments and VPN compatibility; moving the configuration file alone is not a migration plan. Reviews can also cover Juniper SRX, Cisco ASA/Firepower and Ubiquiti gateways, according to the installed release and agreed scope.
For high-availability pairs, we check peer compatibility and state/configuration synchronization where supported. Multi-WAN work includes routing, failover and agreed tests of upstream and internal connectivity.
Discuss a firewall migration →VPNs, VLANs & network segmentation
Connect offices with site-to-site VPNs, scope remote-access VPNs around authentication and access needs, or separate guest devices, workstations and servers. VLANs define network boundaries; routing and firewall policy determine which traffic can cross them. We review those together with NAT, interface assignments and WAN/LAN connectivity.
Troubleshooting follows the affected traffic path, including switch ports, routes, firewall rules and tunnel settings. For virtualized infrastructure, that can include host uplinks, virtual switches, VLAN tagging and storage connectivity.
Plan the change before touching production
We establish the topology, affected services, available access, and maintenance constraints first. Implementation work has an agreed change window and rollback approach. Hardware purchases, cabling, and on-site attendance are scoped explicitly.
Need hands at the rack in Los Angeles?
For a firewall replacement or equipment fault, we can coordinate the physical visit with your remote network engineer: rack the appliance, connect its console and patch the approved WAN/LAN interfaces. Our local service covers Greater Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, with access and scheduling agreed before the visit. Configuration changes need explicit authorization.

On Cisco, Juniper, Arista and Ubiquiti/UniFi networks, an investigation follows the traffic path: link state, port configuration, routes and policy. Host-level reviews can include FreeBSD pf, Linux nftables and existing iptables rules when the operating system is part of that path.
See the platform reference for an overview of supported environments. Include your location, equipment, symptoms and deadline when requesting help. Remote engineering engagements are available alongside planned local work.
