Customer-authorized access. Agreed scheduling.

Make dependencies visible

List the affected servers, storage and network equipment, their current and destination rack positions, and the services that depend on them. Your team owns backup validation and application shutdown decisions. Agree which systems must remain available and the conditions that would stop the move.

Prepare both ends before the window

Confirm receiving, access, rails, power and network readiness at the destination. For moves between Downtown Los Angeles, El Segundo or Burbank sites, allow for each operator’s separate admission and handling procedures. Transport, insurance and specialist lifting are not implied by a Remote Hands visit and must be explicitly arranged.

Follow the physical runbook

We support approved de-racking, cable labeling, equipment repositioning and reinstallation. Preserve the mapping from asset to rack unit and from device interface to patch port. Your technical contact authorizes cutover steps; unexpected equipment, damage or missing materials is a reason to pause.

Prove the return to service

Power and link checks are only the first stage. Your engineers verify storage, network paths, host access and application behavior. Define rollback timing before starting and retain the information needed to restore the former arrangement where feasible. Capture outstanding tasks in the handover.

Ongoing colocation assistance

The same documented approach supports smaller visits after a migration: inspections, inventory confirmation, console assistance and approved component work. Use a defined task list for each visit. A local technician complements your engineering team and does not replace the facility operator’s responsibilities.

Before booking

Does this include moving every part of our infrastructure?

Only the agreed physical scope. Application, data, network configuration, transport and specialist handling requirements must be reviewed separately.

Can you work during a maintenance window?

Send the requested date, time zone, duration and rollback deadline. Timing and any after-hours work depend on confirmed availability and facility access.

Plan for the equipment location

For work in Digital Realty Los Angeles and One Wilshire, review the location guide before scoping access and the task list. Use our Data Center Locations directory for the full service area.

Scope the visit.

Send the facility, task list, urgency and preferred service window. Keep credentials and sensitive customer records out of the inquiry. FOO.XYZ is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any listed facility.
